About a year ago I met with a luxury watch manufacturer that I love. I say I” love” them because I own one of their watches, and it holds huge sentimental value for me. I approached the company with the idea that if I could speak to the decision makers I would most certainly convince them that if it were done properly, they could leverage the awesome power of Facebook and Twitter to change the game of selling luxury watches. Connect with brand advocates like myself, I told them, and you’ll tap into a community that will do the marketing for you. Offer them the tools to communicate how much they love you, and they’ll have a field day.
100 Things I’m Grateful For
As the short work week winds down, and we begin to prepare for the festivities for Thanksgiving, I thought it might be interesting to take a step back to reflect upon the true essence of what Thanksgiving is all about. I got to thinking about how lucky I am, and about all of the people, and things I’m grateful for in my life. Here’s my list of 100 things I’m grateful for – I encourage you to do the same. You’ll be shocked how many good things there are in your life. Use this as a tool to help to keep you on track when you feel like things aren’t going your way, or when you feel like there’s nothing in life to be grateful for. Add to the list as you go. I started this list as the 50 things that I’m grateful for and I couldn’t stop. I’m truly blessed. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

NHL on Facebook: Why the NHL is the Darling of the Social Media Community
A few weeks back the NHL launched their custom Facebook page. Full disclosure: the NHL is a client at Buddy Media. They have quickly become the darling of the social media community because not only are they engaging in social media, but together we have implemented one of the most dynamic, engaging, fun and “fan centric” Fan pages on Facebook.
Rest in Peace Sean Lugano May 24, 1973 – September 11, 2001
Wikipedia defines the September 11 attacks as “a series of coordinated suicide attacks by Al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001″. For the Lugano family it was the day their son Sean died.
This Friday marks the 8th anniversary of this tragic event, and I can’t help but think of the Luganos.
On the website “Friends of Sean Lugano” Sean’s mother Eileen Lugano says “I called him my perfect child.” I only knew Sean as captain of my Rugby Team at Loyola College, and I cannot imagine the hurt their family feels.
Happy 3rd Anniversary Laura: I love you, always have.
Three years ago today I married the love of my life, Laura Jean Guiglotto
I’m generally a lucky guy, but marrying Laura has turned out to be the maraschino cherry on the proverbial “banana split” of my life. Not sure what the banana would be in this analogy, but since this is a family blog, I digress…

5 Surprising Ways Social Media Can Make You a Better Person
’ve been blogging for a few years now. Initially I started blogging while I was working at Performance Based Ad Network Azoogle (Epic Ads). Back then my posts revolved solely around which offers I felt were performing best on the network. I was finding my voice and only updating once in a blue moon. Now that I’m immersed in Social Media, I find that I cover topics effecting the social media ecosystem most often. However, I do offer personal information on my blog posts: See “Open Letter to My Wife”, or “Open Letter to Papa”. These posts were cathartic, and have added a layer to my blog I never expected to be there. Blogging has helped me in business, and my personal life as well. It’s become a personal journal. I’ve chronicled my journey through unemployment, exhilarating moments with family, interesting friends, business decisions and tid-bits of entertainment.
