It seeps into our unconscious paralyzing us to the point where we choose “safety” over the pursuit of our passions. I believe that “learned fear” is the disease of our time. On July 9th, 2011 my father Adrian Dessi threw out the first pitch to start a Yankee game. You can see Dad seated in this photo (LtoR Derek Jeter, Adrian Dessi, Mark Dessi, Chris Dessi, Pat Dessi). This fact is certainly significant. However, it gains further significance when you understand that on that same day, Yankee great Derek Jeter hit his 3,000th-career hit.
